Vikings win in overtime thriller
There is hardly any more excitement!
Just under two minutes before the end of regular time, the Minnesota Vikings lead the Chicago Bears by eleven points. The decision seems to have been made. But the Bears fight back and save themselves into overtime with a last-minute kick. In the end, they had to admit defeat 30:27 in the NFC North duel.
Bears score first touchdown
Both teams find it difficult at the start. First, the Bears get rolling. Quarterback Caleb Williams initiates a huge drive with a 40-yard rocket to Keenan Allen. At the end, he hands the leather to Roschon Johnson for a running play – the running back fuels his way through: touchdown! Shortly before the end of the first quarter, kicker Cairo Santos converted the extra point for a 7-0 lead
The deficit acts like a wake-up call for the Vikings: Right at the beginning of the second quarter, the guests manage to equalize: wide receiver Jordan Addison catches a pass from quarterback Sam Darnold in the end zone. Kicker John Parker Romo converts the extra point – 7:7!
Minnesota turns the game around

Touchdown for the Vikings!
Jordan Addison equalizes
Bears quarterback Williams’ next drive ends at the 48 yard line. Kicker Santos is supposed to score at least three points with a field goal – but the Viking defense blocks the shot. Bitter: For Santos, it is the second blocked field goal attempt in a row after a late miss against the Packers last weekend.
A little later, the Vikings turn the game around: Darnold sends Jalen Nailor to the left, the wide receiver rushes into touch at the goal line – but after the video review, the touchdown is awarded. After the successful extra point it is 7:14.
The Vikings pull away
The Bears, however, don’t make it into the end zone again on their next drive. At least Santos managed to overcome the Vikings defense this time when trying to make a field goal. At halftime the score is 10:14.
At the start of the third quarter, Minnesota sets an exclamation point: Jordan Addison takes the egg out of the air from 69 yards. At the end of the drive there was only a field goal. Reason: DeMarcus Walker sacks Darnold, stopping the Vikings’ attack. But Romo restored a touchdown lead with a field goal from 40 yards.

Bears blow Vikings point
After that, the Bears initially get out of the third. DeAndre Carter fumbles the punt and gives the Vikings possession again. Quarterback Darnold gratefully accepts this invitation: Aaron Jones converts the touchdown and Romo converts the extra kick. The Vickings lead 24:10.

DJ Moore gives the Bears hope again
But the Bears got back to 24:16 at the start of the last quarter thanks to a touchdown caught by DJ Moore. Quarterback Williams takes full risk and tries the two-point conversion to score two more points. But the attempt fails.

The Bears are coming again!
DJ Moore provides hope again
Then things get wild: Vikings quarterback Darnold has to go out injured, replacement Nick Mullens takes over. With a field goal from Romo, the guests pulled ahead to 27:16 with just under two minutes left. But the Bears still don’t give up: Williams escapes from the pocket and finds Keenan Allen in the right end zone corner for the connecting touchdown. This time the two-point conversion is also successful: DJ Moore shortens the score to 27:24.
Bears save themselves into overtime
There are 22 seconds left on the clock. The Bears regain possession of the ball with a oneside kick. Incredible! Williams puts his team within field goal distance with a long pass and then spikes the ball to stop the clock. With the clock running out, Santos kicked his team into overtime with the score 27:27.
Extra time begins with Bears in possession of the ball. Williams, who was just in the form of his life, now takes too much time with the pass and is sacked far away from the starting point. The Bears cannot complete their drive. They almost get the punt back for that! But the Vikings are also having a hard time and have to take a sack themselves. But a long pass even brings them into the red zone.
Romo kicks Vickings for the win
Kicker Romo comes onto the field and completes: 30:27. A very bitter afternoon comes to an end for the Bears, the defeat is clearly their own fault. Chicago simply made too many mistakes in the NFC North duel.
