The final stretch of these National Youth Games begins. There are 4 days of competition left, so Thursday, November 28 will be the closing ceremony and the medal table will be closed that will define the champion of this multi-sports event in its first edition.
We have already finished our participation in 42 sports modalities of the 47 that have ended. The handball (men’s), judo, badminton and canoeing teams have their time to shine. As far as conventional sports are concerned, it is the athletes of these four sports who are in charge of finishing the medal table, capitalizing on what those who have already finished their participation have achieved and catapulting our department until the last day of competition.
Boating will be the protagonist. From November 26 to 28 we will participate in 24 tests between kayak and canoe, and they will close with handball (men), free BMX cycling, judo and badminton.
As for the sports of the Paralympic sector, after the Antioqueños of paracycling, para-athletics, para-swimming, para-badminton, visual judo, para-table tennis and archery will place our department in 2nd place, The para badminton and boccia representatives will be in charge of closing our participation in the Paranational Games, where we have also left our mark.
Cheer up! The results speak of a good process and good sowing, and promise a good harvest not only of medals but of personal, professional and institutional satisfaction.
