The North Santander Judo League culminated his outstanding performance in the I National Games of the Coffee Axis 2024 with two victories on the last day of the competition.
Maryuri Urena won the medal oro in the category of 48kg, demonstrating his strength in each fight. For its part, Danna Vera took the podium taking the bronze in the category 52kg.
These victories represent the growth of judo in the northern Santander region.

In addition to these results, Josué Hernández, in the 60 kg category, and Yender Obando, in the 66 kg category, both athletes stood out in their competitions, obtaining fifth place in their respective divisions.
“Although they did not manage to get on the podium, the two judokas showed great technique and determination against the best exponents in the country,” mentioned the president of the Nortesantandereana Judo League, Johana Orozco.
Orozco also thanked the coaches, athletes, families and allies who have supported this process. “This reaffirms the value of teamwork and perseverance to take the name of Norte de Santander to the top“, said.
