Due to the high frequency of use, the basketball court in the Miyun District National Sports and Fitness Park has serious aging and damage to its silicon PU surface, court fence and other facilities. At the same time, taking into account the positioning of this area as a key demonstration sports park for the construction of a basketball characteristic area, as well as the higher requirements of basketball fans for the venue and event function needs, the original venue foundation, stands, surrounding paving surfaces and rainwater gutters were all restored. Miyun District Sports Bureau focused on the construction of a basketball characteristic area and determined the functional positioning of the stadium to host events as the main event and mass sports as a supplement, and carried out renovation work using the concept of ecological energy conservation, low carbon and environmental protection. From the start of construction on July 1st to the successful completion on October 1st, the two standard basketball courts were given a new look. On the basis of maintaining the scale of the original venue, the new basketball court has replaced the basketball stand, built a new 6-meter-high court fence, and uses a blue and orange silicon PU surface layer to show the vitality and fashion of basketball. The lighting system uses solar lamps, which are energy-saving and environmentally friendly while meeting the basic lighting needs of the stadium. The east stand was demolished and rebuilt, with a new three-level stand retaining the stone surface style and adding plastic wood seats. The west side stand renovated the damaged surface and added plastic wood seats, creating a better viewing environment for the audience.
The renovated basketball court has many highlights. Its surface layer is made of professional-grade silicon PU, and the upper hard and lower elastic structure design improves the professionalism of the venue and effectively reduces athletes’ sports injuries; the LED lighting fixtures are energy-efficient, green and environmentally friendly, improving the environmental protection of the venue; the stadium stand design Taking into account both safety and comfort, it provides spectators with a better viewing experience.
