Saint Dominic. The Dominican Roberto Cid was crowned champion of the M15 tournament, which together with the W35 was played this week at the Parque del Este National Tennis Center, in which players from 20 countries took part.
Roberto Cid defeated Canadian Juan Carlos Aguilar in the final this Sunday, 7-5, 6-3. “Very happy with this victory, I had a few tournaments in the country that had not won a title. Things were done well this week, which was very intense, with a good level,” Cid told the press of the Dominican Tennis Federation (Fedotenis).
“This title helps me a lot with my confidence,” added Cid, who stated that he already has his mind set for the other M15 tournament – which will be played starting this Monday – “Cid mentioned.
He said that the final match this Sunday against Aguilar was very intense, with a lot of humidity, heat “and the player pushed me to the limit, so it helped my mind a lot.”
