This time the controversy of the day has not been on the grass. This Saturday an unfortunate event occurred at the Montilivi stadium in the moments prior to the Girona team’s victory against Espanyol (4-1). Michel’s team had one of its best games, with four goals in the first half, but the image of the game was on the outskirts of the stadium.
As usually happens in regional derbies, many Espanyol fans went to the Montilivi stadium to support their team, although not all of them were in the visiting stands. In a video shared on for the simple fact of wearing a parakeet t-shirt. The reason? It was not in the area enabled for visiting fans.
This seems regrettable to me, he is a child, what is he going to do? @RCDEspanyol Learn once and for all how they treat us in some fields, but you will give them invitations and you will give them all the visiting stands…. @GironaFC I think it’s a shame what you did to this child #rcde pic.twitter.com/BZknJbSpzh

“They can all die”
The father’s story is very harsh: «The boy had to take off his Espanyol shirt because they say he can’t get in with it. A five-year-old child,” he began in the video complaint. After the child takes off his shirt, the adult addresses him and continues to joke about what happened. “It’s terribly dangerous, everyone can die because you’re wearing the Espanyol shirt,” he says.
«In my fucking life you sign for Girona. Never. “You’re still at Gironés, then you’ll go to another team,” the father is heard saying in the video, outraged by the situation. In it you hear a member of Girona’s security justifying that he had no choice but to do what he did: “I feel very bad… I feel very bad, gentleman.”
The permanent commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sports declared Girona-Espanyol, from LaLiga EA Sports, a high-risk match this Thursday.
