DAKAR (Senegal) – From August 27, 2022 to Sunday November 24, 2024, South Sudan reigned supreme on the African basketball scene, beating seven countries on one or two occasions.
And by the time FIBA updated its world rankings last August, South Sudan jumped from 34th to 23rd place, overtaking Ivory Coast, to become the number 1 team in Africa.
Sunday, November 24, 2024 marked the end of South Sudan’s invincibility streak.
