Double world champion, four-time European champion, Olympic bronze medalist and 8 black belte Dan, Cathy Arnaud marked the history of her sport and, for one evening, delighted young and old judokas from Barsac.

Born in 1963, Cathy Arnaud is a pioneer of women’s judo in France and around the world. At the height of her career in the 1980s and 1990s, she dominated the tatami mats with her talent, technique and determination. She remains today a source of inspiration for generations of judokas and continues to transmit the values ​​of judo through interventions and classes in local clubs. In Barsac, she led two courses, one for young people and the other for adults, in an atmosphere marked by enthusiasm and respect.
