Real Madrid star striker Vinicius Junior, injured in his hamstring, is out of Wednesday’s Champions League match at Liverpool (matchday 5), the Spanish club said on Monday. “After examinations carried out today, our player Vinicius Junior was diagnosed with a hamstring injury in his left leg,” Real Madrid said in a statement.
The player himself briefly commented on this announcement on his social networks: “The schedule is crazy… It’s time to recover,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
As usual, the Madrid club does not give any indication of the duration of the Brazilian’s unavailability but, according to Spanish media, it could be almost a month. In this case, “Vini Jr”, who played the entire championship match on Sunday evening in Leganés (3-0 victory for Real), will also miss the trip to Bergamo to face Atalanta on December 10.

This is the story of my career: playing on the right, in the center, on the left… Above all, I want to play well and score a lot of goals,” he said after his match against Leganés.
Before the fifth day, Liverpool lead the C1 league stage with 12 points, while Real Madrid are only 18th (out of 36) with six points.
