On Saturday evening (November 23rd), federal police forces seized an airsoft gun and a combat knife from a 20-year-old man at Münster main station.
During the journey from Dortmund to Münster, a passenger on an express train saw that the man was carrying a weapon on the train and informed the federal police through the train staff.
After the train arrived at Münster main station, federal police forces picked up the 20-year-old and found an airsoft pistol and a combat knife when they searched the man. Both items were seized. Administrative offense proceedings under the Weapons Act were initiated against the German national.
In this context, the Federal Police would like to point out the general order for Münster main station, which is valid until December 23, 2024. According to this, the carrying of dangerous objects is generally prohibited at certain times. This also includes items that do not require a permit, such as knives, box cutters, baseball bats and toy weapons.
Violations can result in a banishment or a fine of 200 euros.
