It is tired but satisfied that all the volunteers of the Chaumont badminton club restored and cleaned the Louis-Chaillot gymnasium, Sunday November 24, late in the afternoon, after two days of intense competition, for the traditional Poster Tournament.
“Everything went really well,” summed up President Delphine Catalifaud when drawing up an initial assessment. “Not only was the show there, but also, in terms of timing, we met the deadlines perfectly, despite the matches which never stopped coming back to back for two days. The smile and positive feedback from participants remain our greatest reward. »
A flawless organization which therefore allowed the 185 registered participants to give in to their passion in total conviviality, but in line with the demanding and necessary regulations of a federal tournament. The opportunity also to bring together players of all ages and levels in the same event, where the simple pleasure of playing has never prevented the beautiful exchanges and the spectacle, in a tournament open to all, until the National level 3.
“We are even considering raising the slider next year, to accommodate N2 players, but of course retaining all the other levels. “, further specifies the Chaumontese leader.
A weekend where the Haut-Marnais did not only make up the numbers, including within the organizing club which took several podiums.
“We are continuing from last year. The players are progressing and are more and more interested in the competition,” continues Delphine Catalifaud, who herself won the “Series 1” women’s singles title, against Langroise Anne-Zite Quentin, and lost the final in women’s doubles “Series 2”, accompanied by Maud Marie dit Lacour.
Twenty-two Haut-Marne podiums during the tournament
No less than 22 places on the 24 podiums established over the two days were thus taken by representatives of the three clubs in the department (Chaumont, Langres and Bettancourt). Among them, five titles were distributed, including two for the Anaïs Lamare Prefectural (ladies’ singles “Series 2” and ladies’ doubles “Series 4”, in the company of Alison Bernet).
Cyril and Elise Chiarla won the “Series 3” mixed doubles, while the “Chaumonto-Langrois tandem”, Jérémie Miot and Charles Collin won the “Series 5” men’s doubles.
Really good performances, for Haut-Marne badminton which is progressing and wanting to be more and more efficient, as evidenced by this great tournament.
