For the second consecutive year, the national team Ivan Montano, will take place from December 12 to 15 in El Nido of the Popular Autonomous University of Puebla (UPAEP), a specialized camp for basketball players who develop in the point guard position, opening the invitation to children from 12 years old even for professional players who are also looking to improve their skills.

If you are a shooter or shooter and are interested in how to improve your offensive movements on the court or learn new defensive tricks, Iván Montano’s camp at the UPAEP is for you. Montano, who played with the Lagos Pirates of the Ecuadorian League and returned to Mexico to finish the season with Panteras de Aguascalientes in the National Professional Basketball League (LNBP), he will share part of the secrets that led him to debut in the professional basketball and be part of the new generation of the Mexican Basketball Team, accompanied by other national representatives.

“The camp was born from the need to create a space where from 12-year-old children to us as professional players, we can continue improving,” said Montano, who is currently seeking to take Mexico to one of the most important competitions in the discipline in the FIBA AmeriCup 2025.

During the first edition, Montano managed to bring together 65 children and around eight professional playerswho not only trained to develop their skills, but also supported the teaching of the youngest during the three days of the camp.

Considering that the most personalized attention possible is sought, registration is open through the WhatsApp number 222 778 1327 for 50 children, although it will also feature guest university players such as Sadol Martínez, Iván Bernal o Ramses Córdova from UPAEP itself and other schools near the city.

One of the speakers who will accompany Iván Montano, legend of the UPAEP Águilas, is the NBA G-LEAGUE player Moisés Andriassi, who will participate with his brothers Luis and Joshuaa promising national basketball dynasty; In addition, figures such as the five-time champion of the National Professional Basketball League (LNBP), Raúl Olalde; and Omar de Haro, player of the local team Lobos Plateados who debuted this year in the same league, returning professional basketball to Puebla.

“At first I thought I had a lot to teach, but when I was directed to guards I considered I had a lot to share since it is my lifelong position, but at the end of the championship the one who ended up learning a lot was me. They say that sometimes you understand and learn more when you want to teach how little or how much you know,” shared Montano, excited about this new edition.

The cost of the camp is 2,700 pesos and includes three days of activities, a t-shirt and a kit for participants.
