Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks was named last week’s MVP in the East, the NBA announced Monday.

His average last week was 32.5, while the Bucks were undefeated in four outings.

In the first game, he made a block against Alperen Sengun and immediately after, Damian Lillard scored the winning basket with 3.9 seconds left against Houston.

Drafted 15th in the 2013 draft, Antetokounmpo helped the Bucks earn the 2021 NBA championship.

The Bucks will play again Tuesday night in Miami, against the Heat.

The honor in the West went to Harrison Barnes of the Spurs. Over San Antonio’s three wins, he averaged 22.3 points per game.

He was brilliant on three-pointers, going 9-for-15 in that aspect.
