This coming weekend the Mireia Belmonte municipal pavilion in Las Torres de Cotillas will host the national under-15 badminton championship. A total of 120 participants will compete in this tournament on November 29 and 30, and December 1, with free attendance for the public. A championship that was presented today by the Torreño mayor Pedro José Noguera, who was accompanied by the general director of Sports, Fran Sánchez, and the Councilor for Sports, Sergio Jornet.
“It is an honor and a pride for our municipality to once again host a great grassroots sports tournament in our country. It will be an event to highlight the efforts of the young promises who represent the future of this discipline. To all the participants We wish them the best of luck in this competition, but above all that they enjoy this experience both on and off the track,” says Noguera.
Seven Torreño players
Organized by the Spanish Badminton Federation and the Badminton Federation of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Las Torres Badminton club and the Department of Sports, the event will bring together the best national promises of this sport.
Seven players will participate on the part of Badminton Las Torres: Germán Hernández, Pablo López, Rocío Hernández, Lucía Párraga, Patricia Samper, Rocío García and Alicia Brao.
