Phoenix Suns stars Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal plan to return to action against the Los Angeles Lakers in Tuesday night’s NBA Cup game, Shams Charania has learned.ESPN.
Durant has been sidelined since Nov. 8 with a left calf injury, the same injury that bothered him this summer before he helped the United States win Olympic gold in Paris.
For his part, Beal suffered a calf injury on November 12 against the Utah Jazz.
Durant and Beal completed back-to-back days of practice before Tuesday’s game.
The 36-year-old Durant started the season on the pace of an MVP in his 18th season in the NBA – averaging 27.6 points and shooting 53.3%. He led the Suns to an 8-1 record early in the season before his injury.
The Suns are 1-6 without his presence.
Beal, 31, is averaging 17.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists in his second season with the Suns.
