The competitors of the Briolet tennis club were in turmoil throughout the weekend: they were mobilized on all fronts. Saturday morning, first of all, Louis Garrot participated in the departmental individual championship and despite a fierce match, this young person in the 11-12 year old category lost in 3 sets.

Likewise, a certain number of teams also played in team matches. In the men’s third division, the locals achieved a draw at home, 3 to 3, against their counterparts from Cuxac-d’Aude while in the mixed cup 4th series, Odile’s team, made up of Jacques, Paul , Carine, Joëlle, Matthieu and Jeff, won their ticket to Castelnaudary for the semi-finals of this departmental competition. At the level of padel, the 4 men’s team began the play-off of the departmental fall championship. Its members traveled to their neighbors at the Acacia Carcassonne club where Frédéric, Émile, Arthur, Cyril, Arnaud and Xavier, battled for more than an hour and a half to achieve victory (2 to 1), thus allowing them to gain sporting experience in the competition.

As for the 1 ladies team, it met its counterpart from Lézignan on its grounds. They came back with a clear victory (3-0) but had to fight for each match. Aurélie and Nathalie, Pascale and Sana, Joëlle and Céline, can thus continue the championship, under the caring coordination of Adeline, permanently supporting them.

In terms of women’s teams 2 and 3, it was also great encounters: they faced each other directly, also causing a lot of uncertainty until the end, which finally saw the victory of team 2 of Hélène Boyer ( 2 to 1), with one of the matches won 10 to 8 in the super tie-break.

In addition, the management team organized a P25 ladies tournament whose profits will be donated to the Telethon. This special ladies tournament saw the victory of Pascale Ripoll and Nicole Girousse against Nathalie Guyot and Hélène Boyer. The club will organize December 12 and 13 (5 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and December 14e (9 a.m. to 8 p.m.), its Christmas chalet, in the tennis area in Palaja, open to members or not.

On the menu: aligot, Savoyard toast, grilled sausages, mulled wine, hot chocolate, pancakes… and even take-away portions.
