[25th (Reuters)]- The Association of Men’s Tennis (ATP) announced the winners of this season’s awards on the 25th, and Kei Nishikori (34) was nominated for the Comeback Award.

Nishikori, a former No. 4 in the world rankings, won the HPP Open, a lower tour tournament challenger, held in Helsinki, Finland on the 10th of this month. It was his first win at the Challenger in about 1 year and 5 months since his return from injury at the Caribbean Open last June. He has risen to 107th place in the latest world rankings.

Other candidates are Matteo Berrettini (Italy) and Marin Cilic (Croatia). Berrettini contributed to Italy’s Davis Cup victory, defeating Nishikori in the 2014 US Open final to win his first Grand Slam tournament, and Cilic won his first tour victory in a while at the Hangzhou Open in September.
