This weekend of November 23, the Moissac Label A Tournament brought together judokas from the four corners of France. Our athletes proudly represented the club, giving their best against tough competition.
Saturday: Place for Juniors
The competition started with the Juniors. In a hotly contested category, Mia Verdonck (-52 kg) put up a good, committed fight, but did not manage to win the victory and was unfortunately not drafted.
For her part, Endy Lopes (-57 kg) started well by winning her first fight, before losing in the quarter-final, she was drafted but unfortunately will not be able to get rid of an experienced fighter. She finished in an honorable 7th place.
Sunday: Les Minimes in action
Sunday saw the Minimes enter the tatami.
For the boys: Mathias Connes (-46 kg), entered in a dense category, lost in the round of 16 and failed to place; Abdoullah Baikhadjiev (-38 kg), despite a good commitment, suffered the same fate, also losing in the round of 16.
For the girls: Justine Roustan-Roucoules (-48 kg) delivered promising fights for a minimal 1st year, but did not manage to get out of the group; Lizzy Garvi (-48 kg), for her part, made it through to the group stage. After a good run, she lost in the round of 16 and finished unranked.
A training weekend
This tournament allowed our judokas to compete at a high level and gain valuable experience. Congratulations to everyone for their commitment and fighting spirit! These efforts always pay off in the long term, and we look forward to seeing them in action again in future competitions.
The club and their teacher are proud of their athletes and encourage them to continue to progress.
