Santander, Nov 26 (EFE).- The Cantabrian artist Vicky Gastelo has released the video clip of the “most special” song of her career, dedicated to her home team, Real Racing de Santander; ‘Let the Stadium Fall’, recorded in Los Campos de Sport in El Sardinero.
“It’s being crazy in the good sense of the word, I’m having a lot of work but I’m very happy, I didn’t expect this boom, although I’ve always said that it was going to be the most special song of my career. The title of the song It’s because my family loves sports a lot, especially football and judo,” he said.
In statements to EFE, Gastelo acknowledged that he made this song because he has many young people around him whose dream is to make a living from sports, which is why he wanted to send them a message “from love” that, “despite the fact that on social networks It seems like it will arrive in two days”, that is “far from reality”.
“The song is aimed at young people who pursue those dreams, but also at all the families who are supporting them,” he explained.
It is clear that there are people who, at the age of 15 or 16, are already on the first ladder, although no one has stopped to think that they have been in a quarry for many years far from their families.
“There is a lot of effort, a lot of discipline, a lot of renunciation from a very young age. The life of the athlete is very short, everything is concentrated in a short time,” he added.
For this reason, the Cantabrian singer wanted to convey a “realistic” image of what it means to achieve a dream that, in her opinion, is possible, but it is also “very nice” if it is not achieved, because you can enjoy it “a lot.” day by day. “There will be difficult days but there will also be incredible ones,” he says.
Vicky Gastelo, as she says in the song, believes that shortcuts don’t usually work out.
Regarding how the official video clip was planned in Los Campos de Sport de El Sardinero, Gastelo was clear that it was going to be “very special”, because his nephew plays in the Racing de Santander quarry, in one of the cadet teams.
“It was exciting for both of us to do it at home, with our team, in the stadium and, above all, at the moment that Racing is going through, which has a lot to do with the song that if you trust yourself, no one can stop it” , assures Gastelo.
He affirms that doing it in El Sardinero made “complete sense” and that it was “the icing on the cake.”
Vicky Gastelo recalled that her next commitments are: this Thursday, November 28, at the Santander Festival Palace at the Cantabrian Football Gala; on December 5, where he will play with the Symphony Theater Orchestra at the National Auditorium (Madrid), something that makes him “especially excited”; and, on December 7, also in Madrid, he will be at the Café Berlin, together with a pianist, with the show ‘Pianísimo’.
In addition, it will be on the 26th in Murcia, and on the 27th in Valencia. EFE
