LMB unveils official schedule for its 2025 centennial season

The Mexican Baseball League (LMB) has unveiled the schedule to commemorate its centennial. Featuring 93 games per team, an All-Star Game in June, and postseason action starting in August, the season kicks off on April 17 with a clash between the Diablos Rojos and the Leones, concluding with the King’s Series in September.

The LMB officially announced the 2025 season schedule this Monday, marking 100 years since the league’s founding, making it an extra special season. The season will begin on April 17, 2025, with a game between the reigning champions, the Diablos Rojos del México, and the Leones de Yucatán. The rest of the teams will take to the diamond the following day, all aiming for the coveted King’s Series title.

What’s the schedule for the LMB’s 100th anniversary?

Each of the 20 teams will play 93 games across 31 series. Additionally, Monday Night Baseball is back, with 17 games scheduled for this day of the week.

Key dates include June 27, 28, and 29, reserved for the 2025 All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. The Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium will host the LMB’s finest for this celebratory event.

After the regular season concludes, the top 12 teams—six from the South Zone and six from the North Zone—will advance to the playoffs, which will be played as best-of-seven series. The postseason begins with the playoffs from August 9 to 18. Following that, the Zone Series will take place from August 19 to 28. The Championship Series is scheduled for August 29 to September 7, and finally, the King’s Series to crown the champion will run from September 9 to 17.
