Regarding preparation, coach Aguado assured that they will begin with more intense training with a view to the South American event, with the aim that the athletes are in the best conditions and can represent the Ayacucho region and Peru in the best possible way. manner.

“Training is from Monday to Sunday and on a double schedule. All of them have shown commitment and discipline. Now the intensity will be increased so that our athletes can perform in a better way. We just arrived in Ayacucho, but we are already starting training, we don’t stop,” the coach said.

The judokas who managed to qualify for the South American in Colombia are Kristin Milagros León Arista, in the women’s +64 category, and, in the men’s category, the athlete classified for the second time, Jordan Esau Canchari López, weighing in at +64.

“The objective was achieved. It was hard, we had to compete against strong teams, but we also showed that we can put up a fight. We managed to qualify and I am very happy. We will not let our guard down, we will continue with the preparation, because this does not end there, the objective is to go for the gold medal,” Canchari stated.

It is important to mention that, prior to their trip to the national stage in Lima, the athletes promised and affirmed their classification to the South American in Colombia, a promise that was fulfilled by the Ayacucho judokas, who will seek to leave the name of the region at the top.

“The promise of qualifying for the South American Championship was fulfilled. We are already there and we are ready for what is coming. We are sure that we will leave everything on the tatami to snatch the first place medal. We will show that the region has a high competitive level,” concluded León.

Another novelty that resonates is the qualification for the South American in Colombia, which will take place on December 2, in the basketball discipline. The delegations of the “Salesiano” and “San Antonio” schools, both from the Ayacucho region, will carry the color of the flag in search of the gold medal.
