On Sunday, in the grand final, Teruel faced Amaia Torralba, a player who had demonstrated her quality throughout the championship. She took the second set 22-20, and in the third, more convincing than ever, she closed the match with a clear 21-12, thus securing the gold medal and the title of Spanish Under-23 champion.
