The match was suspended definitively in added time, with 40 seconds remaining until the 52nd minute of the second half was reached and the end was declared, with the score 2-2. Upon hearing the insults thrown from the stands, Luna González immediately decided not to resume the game and asked the field delegate to expel the spectator who had shouted against her from the facilities, according to the newspaper La Provincia.
The author of the insults did not obey at first and returned to his seat in the stands, insisting on the hurtful comments. «I’m not going anywhere because I haven’t done anything to this little girl. “I’m not moving from here because I haven’t done anything to this bitch,” said the fan, as reported by the referee, who also received insults from a spectator who was close to the aforementioned fan: “You’re a whore, whore, whore.” and crazy.”
Luna Darias clarified in the minutes that the two fans had been cheering for Laguna and went so far as to assure that one of the visiting team’s footballers confessed to her that the first one, who started the verbal attacks, was her father. With the match stopped, the fan who started the incident finally agreed to leave the facilities, although later one of the substituted Laguna players came out of the locker room, without a shirt, and crossed the field of play to confront a group of San José fans.
