The star quarterback, who turns 41 next Monday, denied recent reports that he would like to continue playing next year but not with the Jets.

The Athletic reported last week that Rodgers has decided to play next season but wants to play for another team. “As for my future, I’ve never told anyone in my life that I want to play for a team other than the Jets in 2025,” Rodgers said. “That’s 100% false. I actually said the opposite. I said I’d wait and see what happens at the end of the season, what happens with ‘Brick’ if they want me back, what happens with the offensive line and the GM at the time. I just fired Joe.
“When I do this kind of work, there are a lot of things I can’t control. But I really enjoyed my time in New York. Obviously we haven’t had the success we all wanted.”
Rodgers suffered various injuries to his left leg, including knee pain, ankle sprain and thigh hamstring. The four-time NFL MVP said this will be a major factor in his decision whether he continues to play.

“Once you’re 40 or 41, your career is definitely over,” Rogers said. “Obviously in New York they would want me here. And the new GM, the new staff, everyone should want me on the Jets. “Then I have to see how I feel from a physical standpoint and see if I want to sign up to get back into my routine.”
Rodgers said before last Saturday’s game that he was “feeling good” after the Jets’ bye week as part of the Cal Bears’ 20-year reunion with the 2004 team under former coach Jeff Tedford. Some of it was sent from Berkeley, California. Stanford.

“As for the scan, I have been an athlete for 20 years and know my body better than anyone else.”

Rodgers added that he has a “great relationship” with the Jets’ athletic trainers and doctors and that they have all worked to overcome his illness.

The Athletic also reported last week that Johnson mentioned Rodgers in a meeting with the coaching staff following the Week 4 loss to Denver. That and subsequent reporting suggested a somewhat strained relationship between the owners and Rogers. quarterback.
