Today on November 27 at 10 am, the fourth state level Eklavya Adarsh Vidyalaya Sports Competition 2024-25 will be inaugurated under the chief hospitality of Health Minister Shri Shyambihari Jaiswal. Inauguration Ceremony P.G. Will be held at the college ground.
Women and Child Development Minister will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony.
The competition will end on 28th November. On this occasion, Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade will be the chief guest. Both the ceremonies will be presided over by Surguja MP Shri Chintamani Maharaj.
Presence of special guests
MLA Ambikapur Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal, MLA Lundra Mr. Prabodh Minj, MLA Sitapur Mr. Ramkumar Toppo, Mayor of Municipal Corporation Ambikapur Dr. Ajay Tirkey, Chairman of State Youth Commission Mr. Vishwavijay Tomar, Scheduled Caste as special guests in the inauguration and closing ceremony. Shri Sonmani Bora, Principal Secretary, Tribal, Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Department and Shri Narendra Dugga, Secretary, State Level Eklavya Adarsh Vidyalaya Steering Committee will also be present.
The passion of the players will be visible in 21 sports.
In this competition, players will showcase their talent in 21 different sports. These include hockey, kabaddi, kho-kho, football, archery, athletics, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, judo, yoga, taekwondo, swimming, chess, boxing, handball and wrestling.
Competitions will be held in Under-14 and Under-19 categories
This competition will be held in Under-14 and Under-19 categories. More than 1100 players and 152 in-charges divided into four zones – Surguja, Bastar, Central-1 and Central-2 will participate in it.
Preparation of venue completed
Competition PG It will be held at Khelo India Hall of College Ground and Gandhi Stadium. Preparations have been completed at the venue, and all the players are ready to give their best performance.
Sports spirit will increase through sports
This grand event is expected to promote sportsmanship and mutual cooperation among the players. The state government has made special arrangements for the successful organization of this competition.
