-You tried to get through to the “tower” until 25 years old. All these years of traveling through the minors, did you ever think about quitting football?
– There were a lot of different thoughts… You know, I just understood that I needed more diligence, perseverance and luck, and then everything would work out.
— You missed almost three years of professional football. Was it hard to come back?
– No. On the contrary, it’s somehow even easy. Pre-season training, the season itself – I missed it all.
— Tell us what football is like in Zelva. Training, the atmosphere at matches…
— Football is unique, if I may say so. Naturally, there is no comparison with the Major League. The atmosphere is interesting! I noticed regular fans at home games.
— Was the football vibe in Ostrovets different from Zelven?
– Yes. “Ostrovets” set the goal of reaching the first league, and in terms of the level of players this team was superior to “Chaika” from Zelva,” Butko noted in an interview with betnews.
