Favorite policemen
The gendarmes hope to collect podiums again like a year ago, when the race took place at theMontluçon gendarmerie school (Allier). Mehdi Brother had then imposed himself on the long cross. His comrade from the Republican Guard Faustin Guigon had finished second in the cross court. In the Masters 1-2-3, the gendarmes like Florian Madringnac, Alain Vepper also took their place on the podium. Apart from Mehdi Frère, absent this year due to his suspension pronounced just before the Paris Olympic Games, these gendarmes are favorites to appear on the podiums again.
Among the ladies, the gendarme Amal Bouyig (Hauts-de-France) is also favored in her own succession. A year ago, she was able to make the difference to win on the last climb. The policeman Lara Bellestra (Air Transport Gendarmerie) completed the women’s podium. Finally, the National Gendarmerie hopes to shine in teams during the joint challenge. In 2023, she won the silver medal.
Other gendarmes, who shone on February 14, 2024 during the national gendarmerie championship at National training center for gendarmerie forces (CNEFG) in Saint-Astierwill be present at this French military championship.
