The L’Olleria Basketball School held the presentation ceremony of the 13 teams that will play in the club during the 2024-2025 season, three of which are women, two of which are newly created. In this way, the club and the town “consolidate their involvement in promoting women’s sports and the promotion of new generations of players.”
During the event, which brought together a large audience, a solidarity raffle was held with great participation. The initiative raised more than 400 euros, which will go to people affected by DANA. Especially, the Algemesí Basketball Club, one of the most affected by the storm. A gesture of solidarity that reflects the values of sportsmanship and community support promoted by the L’Olleria Basketball School.
“The solidarity of our people and the work that the club does to promote women’s sports is always a source of pride,” said the mayor, Ramón Vidal Soler, who attended the event together with the Councilor for Sports, Daniel Semper.
According to Semper, “sport is a key tool in the personal and collective development of the youth of L’Olleria, as well as to promote equality just as in any other area.”
The Basketball School thus begins a new season “full of hopes and new challenges.”
