Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal travel to the Dolomites for an advertising campaign. But a supposed snapshot of the tennis legends is causing a stir.
The most important thing in brief
-
Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer appear in a Louis Vuitton advertising campaign.
-
The renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz accompanies the two of them on the trip.

However, one photo raises questions among fans.
They were bitter rivals on the court, but they are still good friends to this day: Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have had a significant impact on the last decades of tennis.
The Spaniard has also been retired since last week. His glorious career ended with his exit from the Davis Cup – two years after that of the Swiss.
Fans suspect AI behind the “Fedal” photo
The two tennis legends have now filmed an advertising campaign for Louis Vuitton. Namely in the Italian Dolomites. A corresponding YouTube video shows “Fedal” during a joint interview in the snowstorm.
But what really gets fans thinking is a photo the fashion giant shared on Instagram. In this, Federer and Nadal can be seen in a relaxed pose in front of an impressive mountain backdrop.
Underneath the post you can read comments like: “How much edited should this look?” and: “That looks AI-generated.” Another user says: “I’m better at Photoshop than that.”
In fact, the image looks like it was generated by a computer. But apparently it was taken by the renowned US photographer Annie Leibovitz. A similar photo can be found on her Instagram profile, posted in mid-May.
