With the finals in singles and doubles in badminton, the curtain closes in Pereira on the 1st National Youth Games of the Olympic and Paralympic sector, matches that will be held at the facilities of the Minor Coliseum in the capital of Risaralda.
The matches to define the medalists will take place starting at 8:00 am and promise many emotions since the technical level has been quite good and there is a certain balance between the classified delegations. One of the most innovative aspects is that some finals will be held simultaneously, in conventional and Paralympic, which has undoubtedly been received very well by all the delegations and the general public.
The final five
The five gold medal matches will have the following protagonists:
Men’s singles: Jerónimo Giraldo of Antioquia Vs Nicolás Morales del Quindío.
Women’s singles: María José Betancourt from Cundinamarca Vs Hanna Escallón from Antioquia.
Men’s doubles: Giraldo-Ríos de Antioquia Vs Arroyave-Zapata de Antioquia.
Women’s doubles: Escallón-Vélez de Antioquia Vs Leal-Pérez de Antioquia.
Mixed doubles: Giraldo-Vélez de Antioquia Vs Ríos-Escallón de Antioquia.
Once all the matches have concluded, the respective awards ceremony will be held and in this way, all the sports competitions in Pereira will end, which began on Saturday, November 9. The closing of the fairs will take place from 6:00 pm, in the city of Manizales.
