Karşıyaka’s general manager Nihat Mala made a statement about the players who issued a warning to the club.
Karşıyaka, which has had difficulty paying the salaries of its technical team and players since the beginning of the season, managed to overcome the crisis it experienced recently with the amount of 25 million TL collected.
Efe Ergi Tırpancı and Thomas Akyazılı, two players who could not receive their wages during this period, recently issued a warning to the club.
While general manager Nihat Mala made a statement about the two players who received reactions on social media after the warning letter was issued, he stated that the players should not be blamed for routine transactions:
“According to their principles, management companies initiate procedures to protect the rights of their players when payments are not made, without their players even knowing.
These protests from the companies do not harm the players’ commitment to the clubs, they are just the necessity of the job. Our players, whether protesting or not, who wear the Karşıyaka jersey properly, are the best players in the world for us.
“We should not blame our athletes for the routine procedures initiated by management companies.”
