[서울=뉴시스]Reporter Kwon Anna = Boram Group’s business table tennis team Boram Hallelujah announced on the 28th that it held a ‘table tennis talent donation event for filmmakers’ at Boram Hallelujah Training Center in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province on the 22nd and 23rd.
At this event, filmmakers such as Jeju Film Festival Chairman Kwon Beom, Lee Eun, CEO of Myung Film (producing Joint Security Area JSA, etc.), director Moon Hyun-seong (directing Korea, Seoul National University Operation, etc.), and director Yook Sang-hyo (directing My Special Brother, 3 Day Vacation, etc.) and Jeju Film Festival officials participated.
Last September, the 19th Jeju Film Festival held a special session called ‘Ping Pong Cinema’ called ‘Table Tennis Talk Concert commemorating winning a table tennis medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.’
Oh Gwang-heon, director of Boram Hallelujah, participated in the event at the time and there was discussion about creating a venue for sports cultural exchange between table tennis and movies, which led to an actual talent donation event.
At this event, Boram Hallelujah Table Tennis Team players and coaching staff participated in lessons by demonstrating their table tennis skills to the filmmakers. A variety of events were prepared, including competition through mini games.
