The Corredor del Henares Judo Club achieves four medals in the Madrid Championship

The Torrejoneros judokas from the Corredor del Henares Judo Club achieved four medals in the last Madrid Championship, three gold and one bronze, demonstrating the great work that is done with grassroots athletes.

The tournament was held in Villaviciosa de Odón on November 9 and 10. The gold medals were achieved by Marco García in the -46kg juvenile category; Mateo Álvarez in minibenjamin -30kg; and Lian Gómez in minibenjamin -26 kilos. Finally, the bronze medal went to Valeria Illescas in the +58 kilo alevin category.

Furthermore, in this same tournament the club had the presence of Enrique Eraña and Antonio Núñez serving as commissioners, along with Celia Núñez, Eva Wong and Iván Martín as Sports Organization Officials (OOD). Along with them, David Díaz passed the exam to be able to work as an OOD.

In relation to refereeing, another member of the Corredor del Henares Judo Club, Óscar Domínguez, was in the Spanish Cup of cadet category that was held in Huelva as commissioner of the National College of Referees.

Fran Garrigós gave a Master Class to the students of the Corredor del Henares Judo Club

Finally, this Tuesday, the bronze medalist in the last Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Fran Garrigós, gave a Master Class for the club’s judokas, an experience in which participants were able to learn new knowledge from one of the best athletes in the world of this discipline in -60 kilos.
