The countries that will host the 2027 European Women’s Basketball Championship have been finalized.
At the FIBA Europe Board of Directors Meeting held in Istanbul, Belgium’s Antwerp and Sweden’s Stockholm were selected as the hosts of the group stage.
Finland and Lithuania were previously announced as the host countries for the championship to be held on 16-27 June 2027, and the cities of Espoo and Vilnius were determined, respectively.
The candidacies of Belgium and Sweden were approved after the application process was extended for additional interest.
Group stage matches in the championship will be held in four cities, and the final stage will be held in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
