On Sunday, November 24, the badminton section of the MJC de Chamouilley organized its second tournament of the year. It brought together 70 players from the clubs of Ancerville, Bettancourt-la-Ferrée (SLO), Chalons-en-Champagne, Cousances-les-Forges, Eclaron, Liffol-le-Grand, Revigny-sur-Ornain, Tronville-en -Barrois, Saint-Dizier (UJB), Vaucouleurs, Wassy and Chamouilley.
The section president, Kevin Deschamps, was delighted with the participation of friendly clubs, but also opponents on the floor. “Our club now has 50 members,” he explains.
“We are now part of the French Badminton Federation, this will allow some of us to play for promotion to the higher division.”
The president also wanted to thank all the volunteers who worked behind the scenes for the organization of the tournament and the on-site catering. It was a way of celebrating this discipline which brought together many fans in a sporting and fair play atmosphere.
