The celebrants celebrated their birthdays and the fans took it in style. For the annual match against Karviná, they prepared a choreo that was unprecedented in Czech conditions. The stadium-wide performance also caught the attention of representatives of the disciplinarian, including its chairman Jiří Matzner.

“First of all, DK LFA would like to highlight and praise the whole-stadium choreo of the Slavia fans from the match with Karvina, the final form of which can be unashamedly described as a unique and exceptional feat, which won admiration not only on the domestic scene,” Matzner said in his tribute to Slavia.

But that was the end of the words of appreciation. After that, it was just about reprimanding and handing out fines.

“Of course, DK LFA would like to stay with this praise only, but what happened in the corridors after the final whistle does not allow it. We consider the massive use of explosive pyrotechnics, which actually threatened the safety and health of people in the stands and the actors of the match on the playing field, to be completely unacceptable,” the head of the disciplinarian said.

Celebrants it didn’t help that it all happened after the final whistle. “Although it was an incident after the match, it is not acceptable that players who go to thank their own fans for their great support have to protect their health by running away from pyrotechnics flying everywhere. We don’t even want to imagine what could happen if one of the launch tubes was faulty and exploded right in the middle of hundreds of people,” Matzner continues.

Slavist David Douděra has a reason to smile again.

On the other hand, the fact that this was not the first offense of its fans made it difficult for the Prague club. “Despite the fact that Slavia fans were already warned this season that similar massive and risky use of pyrotechnics will not be tolerated and will be punished, they decided to repeat this activity, even to a greater extent. Therefore, DK LFA is again forced to react and clearly declare that the use of pyrotechnics, especially the shooting type, on such a massive scale is absolutely unacceptable, and therefore decided to award the club Slavia Praha a fine of 350,000 crowns,” concluded the verdict.
