In a tried and tested tradition, the baseball coach training at the DBV Convention 2025 will be supported by ISG Baseball.
ISG Baseball sends alongside the convention veteran Tom O´Connell with Derek Johnson and Mark Hallberg two active coaches from the MLB.
Derek Johnson, who began his coaching career in college baseball in 1994, has been active in the MLB since 2016. From 2016 to 2018 he was the pitching coach of the Milwaukee Brewers, since 2019 he has held this position for the Cincinnati Reds and has since been appointed Director of Pitching.
Mark Hallberg has been coaching since 2012 after playing minor league baseball for 5 years. In 2020 he was hired by the San Francisco Giants, where he initially served as third base coach and currently as first base coach.
The three US speakers will talk about pitching, hitting, defense and training design. In all sessions there is a special focus on practical and directly applicable content.
In addition, the following speakers are used:
Nicole Broziewski will lead through a Baseball5 practice session in her role as national coach of the Baseball5 national team.
Isaiah Lawway will provide input from the field of sports psychology. The sports psychology expert looks after the U23 and men’s national baseball teams, among others.
