The EU is facing days of decision in the negotiations on the planned free trade agreement with the South American Mercosur states. According to information from the FAZ, the discussions about the agreement have been completed at a technical level. The EU negotiating team was on its way back to Brussels on Friday after negotiations in Brasilia. The agreement is ready to be signed; Brussels says it could be signed at the Mercosur summit in Montevideo (Uruguay) at the end of next week.
