Sunday 1st Decemberon the parquets of Pala Parma and Pala Dante, the Special Olympics Italia for the Divisioning matches in anticipation of the “Special Basket 2025” Tournament
Legnano – Legnano becomes the Italian capital of basket Special Olympics, the international sports association that organizes the Special Olympic Games every four years. In fact, it will be held right in Legnano, Sunday 1st Decemberon the parquet floors of Altarpiece Parma and the Altarpiece Dante, the Special Olympics Italy for the Divisioning matches in anticipation of the “Special Basket 2025” Tournament.
The company Beaver Sportsin collaboration with the company Legnano Knightswill therefore host the national event which effectively inaugurates the basketball sports season and at the same time defines the groups of the tournament which will begin in January 2025. Castoro Sport invites all athletes from 9.30 to 15.00, to attend the competitions in which they will compete 22 teams from the North-West area of Italy. All under the gaze of the National Technical Staff. The day will be open in the presence of the mayor of Legnano Lorenzo Radiceof the president of Castoro Sport Carmen Colombo and the president of the Knights Marco Tajana. Waiting for the next ones 270 athletes and their companions will be volunteers from Castoro Sport and Legnano Knights.
Castoro Sport will be represented by one fifteen athletes, divided into two teams, led by coach Roberto Raimondi and supported by several volunteers and families. The Legnano athletes – who will play the first match in the gym in via Parma, at 10.00 am, inaugurating the day – will be accompanied on the pitch by athletes who play in the Knights’ youth teams, according to the formula unified basketball. It is a sporting discipline that sees athletes with and without disabilities involved in a single team: unified sport is considered the best means of integration since people with and without disabilities, called athletes and partners respectively, play together sharing joys, efforts and friendships thanks to sport.
