The Soria-CS24 Badminton Club youth team continues to be immersed in competitions at the highest national level, being represented, on this occasion, by the young Jimena Ayllón in the Spanish U15 Championship, this weekend, in Las Torres de Cotillas (Murcia) .
The young player has managed to qualify in the three possible modalities, individual, women’s doubles and mixed doubles, so she has had to participate in numerous events and obtain sufficient results to be able to qualify where only the best national rackets are. Despite being in the first year of the category, she has achieved this milestone and is able to compete, in this way, with rivals with much more experience than the Soriano.
The midfielder’s debut is this Friday in the individual category against an Aragonese rival. Later, and later in the afternoon, she will compete alongside Carmen Martínez, from the Guadalajara Badminton Club, in the first round of the women’s draw.
It will be on Saturday when he will play his first mixed doubles match with Jorge Royo from Huesca. The couple starts as seeded and are freed from playing in the first round.
Jimena Ayllón’s objectives include acquiring experience, within her training career, without giving up advancing rounds and getting as close as possible to podium positions.
On the other hand, the youngest members of the Soria club will compete in a scoring tournament for the national ranking that the Badminton Federation of Castilla y León organizes in the Palencia town of Villamuriel de Cerrato for under-13 and under-17 categories.
Carmen Gómez and María González will do it, in the women’s singles and doubles modalities, and Álvaro Gómez and Daniel Marín, who despite their under-15 status, will attend this event to face players from a higher category.
