NFL legend and TV expert Tom Brady commented on the departure of Giants quarterback Daniel Jones and the circumstances during the Thanksgiving game between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys (20:27).
“I think we all come to a point in our careers where we face different challenges. I faced them in college and some things didn’t go the way I wanted, but the people that mattered most to me were the guys in the locker room. I was there every day,” he said FOX Sports-Expert.
Difference between Jones and Brady
“I don’t know how the whole situation went down, but thinking about asking for a layoff from a team that is very committed to you is perhaps different to the way I would have handled it,” added the NFL icon in the New York Post.
To save Jones’ honor: His departure was primarily for financial reasons. By demoting him to the bench, the Giants avoided an injury and the associated guarantee payment. But the bench position was the reason for Jones to flee. He recently joined the Minnesota Vikings.
