- The CONMEBOL Tactical Study Group (GET) launched the seventh edition of its book, this time with the analysis of the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™.
- The launch was attended by legends of South American football, ministers of Education and the president of CONMEBOL, Alejandro Domínguez, who highlighted the importance of “stay at the top with excellence”.
The South American Football Confederation, through its Development Directorate, presented its seventh book of tactical and technical analysis on the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™, prepared by the GET with the collaboration of legends of South American football.
“Thanks to you (soccer legends), in South America we have a footprint that is unrepeatable, which does not mean that it cannot be copied, because the rest learned from us. Today we have a virtuous circle that we must follow. This means that, as long as we maintain excellence, we can continue to grow both economically and sportingly,” said President Alejandro Domínguez, during the launch.
The enjoyable morning began with an educational panel, headed by the Minister of Education and Sciences of Paraguay, Luis Ramírez, and the Minister of Education of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mercedes Miguel, who offered a masterful talk on the importance of education in sports.
Both agreed to highlight soft skills, talked about the complexes and difficulties faced by young people who do not achieve their goals and explained how sport affects education and human development, especially football, which fulfills a much more significant social function. .
In that sense, the educational panel continued with the presentation “Neuroscience and Psychology / Comprehensive player”, by Dr. Sandra Rossi, who explained the fundamental role of soccer in human emotions.

The Tactical Study Group (GET) presented a new analysis of the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™, with the contribution, vision and experience of renowned South American coaches, based on statistical data and reports from the tournament won by the Argentine team.
Gerardo Pelusso, leader of the GET, highlighted the importance of this new work, the seventh of this group of experts that began in 2015. “With the particularity that this edition gained practicality and dynamism, with new mechanisms to express our strategies,” explained the Uruguayan coach.
Pelusso also outlined the content of the book, addressing the most important topics, such as the strategies and tactical system used by Argentina, the minutes played, the featured players and the goal conversion paths, in percentages.
Among the big news for 2025, the GET confirmed the participation of coaches Lionel Scaloni; Nestor Lorenzo; Fernando Batista and Dorival Junior, in different masterclasses that will be developed throughout the year.
