Korean women’s table tennis Shin Yu-bin (Korean Air) and Jeon Ji-hee (Mirae Asset Securities) were ranked in the top 10 in the prize money rankings of this year’s World Table Tennis (WTT) series.

Shin Yu-bin, ranked 11th in the world, recorded $111,975 (about 156 million won) in the women’s prize money rankings released by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) on its website on the 30th, ranking 9th overall.

Shin Yu-bin has consistently performed well, including winning the mixed doubles match with Lim Jong-hoon (Korea Exchange) at the WTT Lagos tournament held in Nigeria last June.

Jeon Ji-hee, ranked 19th in the world, recorded $103,525 (about 145 million won), making it into the top 10.

Shin Yu-bin and Jeon Ji-hee have arrived in the country and are training to participate in the ITTF Mixed Team World Cup, which will be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China from December 1 to 8.

Meanwhile, in the women’s division, China’s Wang Man-yu, Sun Ying-sha, Wang Yidi, and Chen Xintong took the top four spots in the prize money category.

In the men’s division, world number one Wang Chuqin ranked first in prize money, followed by China’s Lin Shidong in second place. No Korean player was ranked in the top 10 in the men’s prize money list.
