One of the innovative disciplines found in these “Bolivarian Games of the Bicentennial 2024” is bocce, in its two modalities: “raffa” and “individual petanque”, with its great Peruvian representatives Erick Bardelli and Rosalba Rojas, who shone with their participation.
In one interview with Jornada newspaperthe Bolivarian athlete of the Peruvian team, Eric Bardelli, declared that bocce ball is an inclusive discipline that can be practiced by the entire population, from children and youth to adults and people with disabilities.

“In my family we all practice it: my children, my wife. It is an inclusive sport and for all ages; there is no limit. Bocce is a sport for everyone. Once you understand the gameplay, I’m sure you’ll love it. It is new, but like all sports, it has its essence,” said Bardelli.
Regarding his participation, the athlete assured that he is focusing on getting the gold medal of these “Bolivarian Games of the Bicentennial 2024” and in defeating all the opponents it has to face, showing that Peru came to win.

“We are super focused and we know what we want. We arrived in Ayacucho in search of the first place medal. We have strong opponents, but that does not mean that we will take sides; We will fight and show that we are ready to win,” said Bardelli.
So far, Peru has won five medals between gold, bronze and silver.
