Sunday, December 1 from 10 a.m., at Cosec, in Figeac, the Figeacois Badminton Club is hosting one of the fields for the second day of the 2 Occitanie regional championship. Last season, the CBF interclub team, playing in departmental division 1, finished at the top of the championship, then qualifying against Montauban. Which allows it this year to compete at regional level 2 Occitanie, a first for the CBF.
After a first day in Rodez, where the Figeacois lost to the Ruthenois, 1 match to 7, and 3 matches to 5 against Castres 2 in the afternoon, they host on Sunday December 1, the five other teams in Pool D , Blagnac 5, Rodez, Pradines, Castres 2, and Lisle-sur-Tarn. The CBF will face Pradines in the morning and Blagnac 5 in the afternoon.
For this occasion, and as part of the Grand Figeac Olympic fortnight, the club has the chance to have a torch relay, with the possibility of posing in front of it throughout the day. A welcome breakfast is planned for the arrival of the teams, followed by pre-match preparations. Six matches starting at 10 a.m. will take place throughout the day. A Spanish inn-style meal break is planned for lunch, before matches resume at 2 p.m.
During this season, the CBF also enters two interclub teams in departmental division 1 and 2, the championship of which begins in January 2025.
