On Sunday 1 December, the Interregional Judo Grand Prix took place at the Regional Technical Center of Castelmaggiore (BO), in which around a hundred athletes from Marche, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna took part. The competition, dividing the athletes into two bands (up to brown belt and black belt) offers, together with the Italian Championships and the Italian Cup, the scores useful for advancement in judo grade (Dan) for over Junior and Senior athletes (over 18).
From Bologna two athletes of the Budokan Institute who achieved excellent results, winning a large number of matches and climbing to the top step of the podium. Greta Mazzanti she prevailed in the middleweight category, beating all three of her opponents, winning the gold medal in the class reserved for blue and brown belts. The first place in the ranking also allowed her to participate in the phase reserved for black belts where she repeated herself by winning three more matches and winning the second gold medal of the day. Also Daniel Sanchini, in the lightweight category, he dominates the group up to brown and, by winning two matches, he climbs to the top step of the podium, acquiring the right to also compete with black belts. In the upper level, with one match won and one lost, he gets back on the podium with the bronze medal and brings the medals won on the day by the Bolognese club to four. Satisfaction in the team (the athletes were followed by the technicians Paoletti e From Feliciantonio) especially considering the very young age of the judokas (juniors) who competed with athletes in the higher range both in terms of rank (black belts) and age (seniors).
