Slavia improved their record with Slovan, losing only one of their last 17 league matches. Liberec has found a conqueror after four rounds without defeat, it is tenth in the table and 24 points behind the leader.
The beginning of the match belonged to North Bohemia, who created a great chance in the first minute. Frýdek broke through on the left wing and found Ghali in front of the goal, who missed the shot from the small area. Višinský still got to the stop, but Kinský was able to put the ball away. The Slavist goalkeeper had to be treated after the collision, but was able to continue. Višinský then made another breakthrough into the penalty area, after a boundary fight Holeš stopped him.

The Slavists only had two and a half days to prepare after Thursday’s cup defeat with Fenerbahce (1:2). Coach Jindřich Trpišovský replaced the entire attacking trio. He sent Chytil to the point, after almost four months Schranz appeared in the starting line-up and young Pech played in the league for the first time since the beginning.
The favorite gradually started running and took over the reins of the match. After half an hour he sent the first shot on the Schranz goal. Five minutes before the break, Pech’s unsuccessful shot was deflected behind Bačkovski’s back from close range by Chytil and scored his seventh goal of the league season. However, he was injured during the stoppage and Chorý replaced him in the second half.
After the break, the home team must have been happy that Ogbu only received a yellow card. The Slavist defender hit Letenay in the face with a kick while trying to finish with scissors instead of the ball.
The people of Prague obviously played with fatigue, but with their tactical performance they secured a one-goal advantage. In the end, they could have scored one more time, but Provod shook the crossbar with a sharp shot. Bačkovský then foiled his next solo.
