Isaiah Hartenstein loses despite good performance with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Dallas Mavericks are happy about the return of their superstar Doncic.

Despite a strong performance from German basketball professional Isaiah Hartenstein, the Oklahoma City Thunder suffered a narrow defeat in the top game of the Western Conference in the NBA. Hartenstein achieved a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds on Monday night, but could not prevent the 116:119 defeat at the Houston Rockets. For the Thunder it was the first defeat after four wins in a row.

Oklahoma remains first in the West, with Houston lurking just behind. After breaking his hand, Hartenstein only made his debut for OKC around two weeks ago.

Hartenstein once again in top form

World champion Daniel Thies suffered his eighth defeat in a row with the New Orleans Pelicans. Theis scored a meager two points in the clear 85:118 defeat at the New York Knicks around Ariel Hukporti, New Orleans remains bottom in the West. Hukporti scored three points. The Knicks are on course for the playoffs in the East.

Superstar Luka Doncic celebrated his comeback with the Dallas Mavericks after a two-week injury break – and promptly led the Texans to a 137:131 win over the Portland Trail Blazers with 36 points and 13 assists. The Slovenian also sank four three-pointers and grabbed seven rebounds. While Doncic played again for the first time, Kyrie Irbing got a break as the team’s second star. He had borne the brunt in the past few games. Maxi Kleber contributed two points to the fourth win in a row for the Mavs.

The Cleveland Cavaliers won the top game of the Eastern Conference 115:111 against champions Boston Celtics.
