ZEIST This year, BC ‘t Slot will play in the association competition with four senior teams and four youth teams at different levels. Now, halfway through the competition, the teams are in good shape.
The players in the youth teams are either playing matches for the first time or playing in this composition for the first time. This sometimes means some searching for winning points, but there is no shortage of fun and good experience that the players gain together.
In the second phase of the competition, the teams are reclassified by the association, depending on the level of the players, which will probably make the matches more exciting.
Two senior teams make their debut at the 9th division level. Although the players of team 4 are actually all playing for the first time, the team is in a comfortable third place in the rankings. Team 3, at the same level, plays for the championship and with a 12-point lead, it seems up for grabs in the second phase.
Team 2, at the 7th division level, is having a more difficult time this season, probably partly due to injuries. Although it does not happen automatically, they are currently in sixth position. If that remains the case, this team will continue to maintain this level.
Team 1 was promoted to the fifth division last season. They put their shoulders to the wheel to show that they belong at this level. Halfway through this competition they are in fifth place but not yet comfortably separated from the clubs below them. With seven competition days still ahead, the coming rounds will be exciting and challenging confrontations for these BC ‘t Slot teams.
