A one and a half hour slot, on Thursday evening, implemented this season. “I had done it in another club before,” confides Delphine Gapihan, coach with the Greens. We are a little more demanding with them. There is a framework similar to other training, but more rigorous. »
The file presented by licensees wishing to join the system is proof of this. “We asked them to write a cover letter to apply and to provide us with their school report. It’s not the grades that interest us, but the assessments,” explains Yannick Tanguy, also a coach at the ABC.
From U11 to U15
Created in the fall of 2023 under the leadership of President Tugdual Le Lay, the Gwengamp Akademi also offers a “holiday package”. As there are different age groups, we do not form a collective. But everyone is improving their offensive and defensive ranges. » Perfection, in short. Without forgetting awareness of physical and mental preparations in order to go further in learning.
We are thinking about setting up a sports section with a college in Guingamp.

Obviously focused on the development of its young shoots, this additional training undoubtedly constitutes the beginnings of a future sports section. “We are thinking about setting up one with a college in Guingamp,” announces Yannick Tanguy. The idea is to combine a flexible schedule and careful academic monitoring with a certain progress on the floor.
“We hope that this will improve the level of play of our teams so that as many of them as possible go to the Regional,” emphasizes Delphine Gapihan. It won’t happen in one year, but over the medium term.” At ABC Guingamp, training is gaining momentum.
